Kelsey Creek Farm

Quiet and secluded, Kelsey Creek Farm retains the feel of country life while centrally located in downtown Bellevue, Washington. Home to ponies, sheep, goats, chickens, pigs, rabbits and waterfowl, our farm dates from the 1930's, complete with white-rail fencing, beautiful lawns and play fields. Kelsey Creek Farm is owned by the City of Bellevue, WA, and operated by the Parks and Community Services Department.

Bring your family to view our farm animals out in their pastures every day of the year from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Our playground, picnic tables and picnic shelter are open every day from dawn to dusk. Reservations are not needed to visit the farm and there are no entrance fees.

Don't forget water, snacks, and sunscreen!

Splash Pad

I have not yet been to this park - but have heard good things about it! Don't forget water, snacks, and sunscreen!!!

Essentially, there are two parking options. You do have to walk some distance to get to the park, but the scenery is amazing and unlike any other park around. To lessen your walk, don't take the trail from the library - it's long and winding and steep. Instead take 228th Avenue past City Hall and turn left on SE 4th Street and then another left on 222nd Place SE. Here you'll find a side parking lot. When you get out of your car, head to the left and down the hill.

What to Bring:
*a mode of transportation to get from the car to the park (a stroller or wagon); I don't recommend a bike or scooter simply because the return trip is uphill and kids are tired from playing.
*sidewalk chalk - there are tons of smooth surfaces for drawing!
*sand toys, shovels, buckets - bring enough to share
*sunscreen - remember there isn't a lot of shade here
*shoes good for running through water and towels - chances are your kids will want to run through the splash pad!

Life Coach, Merideth Cohrs, is going to be hosting a meet up, to start a group focused on US as WOMEN, vs us as moms/wives/sisters or any other role. This will be a group for FUN, which will not focus necessarily on our children - but more on ourselves, making friends, and leaving the mommy-hat at the door.

***Children are absolutely allowed to come to this event, as we brainstorm, they can run around and get some energy out.

You can find the meet up information here: http://www.meetup.com/Issaquah-Couch-to-Life-Meetup
